Format
As this is a team event, scores will not be submitted for handicaps.
Handicaps will be taken on Saturday 25th May (rounds played on this date will not be considered) and remain the same throughout the event.
Fourball matches played as a Fourball Matchplay
90% Handicap allowance (the lowest handicap will play off scratch, with the remaining players receiving 100% of the difference).
Singles matches played as an Individual Matchplay
100% Handicap allowance (the lowest handicap will play off scratch, with the remaining player receiving 100% of the difference).
The current holders require 4.5 points to retain the Ryder Cup or 5 points to win it outright for either side.
Europe will be nominally considered the ‘home’ team for 2024. USA will tee off first in each match as the visiting team and Europe will wear their team colours in the Singles matches as the home team.
Day 1 USA will play in Red shirts with Europe in White shirts.
Day 2 USA will play in White shirts with Europe in Blue shirts.
This will be reversed for 2025 with USA considered the ‘home’ team at Stoke by Nayland.
